Walks ending at Glenridding 26th October 2025

Glynis is leading the A walk and is approximately 8 miles and 2500 feet.

Although only about 8 miles it is steep in parts with some scrambling

The walk will be starting at Grisedale Bridge and will go first to Lanty's Tarn.  From there we will head for Greenside Road and take the path up Glenridding Dodd.  We will then climb Sheffield Pike and come down to Nick Head to join the path along Glencoyne Valley to Ullswater and the lakeside path to Glenridding.

Lesley is leading the B walk and is approximately 7 miles with 1321 feet ascent/1327 feet descent.

Patterdale - Silver Crag – Glenridding.

From Patterdale a loop round Silver Crag back to Patterdale and then round and up to Lanty's Tarn and into Glenridding via Rattlebeck Bridge and Gillside.

Paul is leading the C walk and is approximately 5.5 miles and 720 feet.

The walk starts at Hartsop, then follows easy tracks past Angle Tarn waterfall to Rooking and Side Farm (lunch, and tea stop if it is open).  We cross the valley to Patterdale, then a gentle rise to the lower slopes of Glenamara Park, before descending into Grisedale at Thornhow.  There follows a small climb up to Lanty's Tarn where we can admire the likes of Helvellyn, St. Sunday Crag and Sheffield Pike safe in the knowledge we are going nowhere near them, before dropping down into Glenridding
