Next Wednesday Walk 18th June ending in Keswick

The A walk will be led by Bob and is 7.8 miles and 1300 feet

A circular walk from Keswick. We start through Fitz Park and take the Cumbria Way, with lovely views of Skiddaw, and ascend Latrigg by its gentlest slopes. We then descend grassy slopes towards Brundholme, with further good views and a wooded valley on either side. We then go via Derwentfolds and Wescoe to the disused railway, crossing the river Greta five times on the easy walk back to Keswick!

The B walk will be led by Phil and is approximately 6 miles and 600 feet.

Starting in Braithwaite it traverses the flanks of Barrow up the Newlands valley to the base of Cat Bell and then the miles without stiles route back to Portinscale and on to Keswick. There are no stiles.
