Next Wednesday Walk 12th August ending in Clapham

The A walk will be led by Glynis and is just under 8 miles and 1200 feet

The walk is a circular from Clapham.  We will start along the public footpath to Ingleborough Caves and continue towards Trow Gill but will turn off to take a short fairly steep climb towards Long Scar and then come down to Crummockdale.  From there we will take the path for Wharfe and will return to Clapham via Thwaite Lane.

The B walk will be led by David and is approximately 5½ miles and 850 feet.

Starting from Austwick, we head out to Crummackdale, a lonely and lovely Yorkshire Dale.  Near Crummack Farm we climb a short distance on to the fells above, from which we will have views for the next 1½  miles. Descending gradually towards Thwaite Lane, we pass through Norber Erratics. Then we walk into Clapham along a former Drovers Road.

The C walk will be led by Bob and is approximately 4.25 miles and 450 feet.

Starting from Austwick, we follow Wood Lane to Wharfe, and continue to Mill Bridge, Slaindale and Thwaite Lane, back to Clapham through the tunnel.
