Next Wednesday Walk 22nd October ending in Elterwater

The A walk will be led by Glynis and is approximately 8 miles and 1000 feet. 

The walk is a circular walk stopping for lunch at Blea Tarn.

The B walk will be led by Christine and is approximately 6 miles and 900 feet.

We start at Skelwith Bridge crossing the River Brathay onto the Cumbrian way.  Woods up to Stang End, Slaters Bridge, woods to Chapel Stile along the River back into Elterwater.

The C walk will be led by Phil and is 4.1miles and 406 feet.

We leave Elterwater over the bridge to join the Cumbria Way alongside the Great Langdale Beck to Thrang Farm and Chapel Stile . We continue alongside the beck passing below the camp site before turning off uphill to Oak House and then turning again above the camp site to Baysbrown where we follow the road to Sawreys Wood. Here we descend through the quarry to rejoin the path alongside the beck which takes us back to Elterwater.
