Next Wednesday Walk 28th January ending in Cartmel

David will be leading the A walk and is approximately 8 miles and 1300 feet.

From Lindale we walk over to the Winster Valley, then up to the Newton Fells, including Dixon Heights. Descend to Low Newton and lanes and fields to ascend Hampsfield. Along the ridge to Fell End and into Cartmel.

Barbara will be leading the B walk and is approximately 5.5 miles and 600 feet.

The walk is a circular from the racecourse and heading upwards through woodland towards Low Bank.  We then head towards Howbarrow where we turn towards Burns Farm, then Over Ridge.  We return to Cartmel via Wall Nook and Well Knowe.​

Sylvia will be leading the C walk and is 4 miles and 377 feet.

We will start from Cartmel racecourse car park and go southwest through fields and woods towards Holker Hall.  We'll then pass Cark Manor and the river Eea, under the railway to the estuary saltings and Sand Gate.  At the end of Cark village we'll head back to Cartmel.
