Next Wednesday Walk 3rd December ending in Silverdale-Xmas Meal

The A walk will be led by Bob and is 7.0 miles and 850 feet.

The walk is a circular from Silverdale. We pass Woodwell, Heald Brow and Crag Foot, then ascend through woods and fields to the hill above Yealand Conyers. We descend past Leighton Hall and Grizedale Farm to cross RSPB Leighton Moss, then pass Silverdale station and Burton Well into Silverdale. The walking is mostly easy and grassy but if the causeway is flooded a detour of 0.5 miles will be needed.

The B walk will be led by Helen and is 5.4 miles and 700 feet, undulating.

Starting at the Woodlands Hotel, we follow paths through Middleborough Wood, Holgates Holiday Park towards Arnside Tower. Then towards Arnside Knott, through Copridding Woods dropping down to the coastal path at New Barns Bay. We then follow the coast round to Far Arnside Caravan Park, through Holgates, along the road to the Cove, and across 'The Lots', finishing at the Silverdale Hotel.

​The C walk will be led by Bob G and is approximately 3.5 miles and is undulating.

The walk will be a circular from Silverdale.
