Next Wednesday Walk 23rd September ending in Rivington

The A walk will be led by David B and is approximately 7.5 miles and under 1000 feet

It is a circular from the Rivington reservoir up to the Barn and then to the old grounds of Rivington Hall which we will explore before heading up to Rivington Pike, our highest point. The return is via Pike cottage, Ormston's farm and Liverpool Castle. Those who prefer a cafe at the end will stop at the Barn before meeting the coach back at Rivington reservoir.

The B walk will be led by David H and is approximately 6 miles and 400 feet

From Rivington we'll walk by Lower Rivington Reservoir to The Castle, then head up to Rivington Hall Barn. From there, walk to Yarrow Reservoir, then over to Upper Rivington Reservoir and back to Rivington.

​The C walk will be led by Mary and is just less than 4 miles and 450 feet with 1 stile (not difficult)

The walk is a circular. We will walk up the east side of upper Rivington Reservoir to reach Yarrow Reservoir and walk around this reservoir to reach Alance Bridge. The walk continues up the road, to pick up the footpath returning, across fields and through woodland, to Rivington. Here we will walk towards Rivington Hall Barn, but take the path to the lower barn and back through the woods and the side of Lower Rivington Reservoir to the start of the walk.
